Upward Bound Project

Purpose

The San Jose State University Upward Bound Project has provided over 30 years of high quality services to at-risk youth in the community. Oldest of the Federal TRIO Programs, Upward Bound provides opportunities for participants to succeed in high school and enter the college of their choice. Upward Bound serves high school students from low-income families and families in which neither parent holds a bachelors degree. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rates at which participants enroll in and graduate from post secondary institutions. Learn More
